Holly and Joe’s elegant Tampa golf course wedding featured a beautiful, wintry palette of ivory, navy blue, silver, and wine.
The Tampa wedding was a tribute to Holly’s father, Officer Charles Kondek of the Tarpon Springs Police Department, who was killed in the line of duty in 2014.
“Joe and I created a ceremony that would honor my father, who died in the line of duty on 12/21/14. We had all of our closest Tarpon Springs PD family there in uniform. They walked the bridesmaids down the aisle and one walked me down the aisle along with my little brother. One even agreed to be our officiant and married us. Two officers out of those present were also in my parent’s wedding as well,” the bride shared. “It meant a lot to us as well as the officers. These officers are our family, and we would have been truly lost without them these past few years.”
When Parties A La Carte owner Jessica Ralph heard that Holly was in need of wedding planning services, she donated her time to make sure the bride was focused on their friends and family and not on the logistics of the day.
“Really not knowing the steps to planning a wedding can be stressful,” Holly shared, “But Jessica and Parties A La Carte did all they could to help every step of the way, answered countless questions, and never made us feel like a burden. I really appreciate everything they’ve done for us! I couldn’t have asked for anything more and we couldn’t have done it without them.”
Parties A La Carte planned an elegant courtyard ceremony with classic pink and red wine-colored rose florals, and an ivory and gold ballroom reception with cake pops for dessert
One of Holly’s favorite wedding day memories was a surprise to take the place of a father/daughter dance.
“During the ceremony, the officers chose a song without my knowledge, and they all took turns dancing with me, being that I did not have my father/daughter dance. That dance ended with me dancing with my brother, who is one of my very best friends. My husband followed and danced with me afterward. There isn’t much more you can ask for than that,” the bride reminisced.
