This tastefully extravagant, 1920s-themed St. Pete Beach wedding brought The Great Gatsby to life. Alessandra and Bryan had always imagined a wedding that was formal in attire, yet a rip-roaring ball of a party; the quintessential Gatsby-style soiree.
“Our theme was art deco/Gatsby glam. We wanted a black tie wedding that was both glamorous and fun,” the bride said.
The couple hired St. Petersburg wedding planner Parties a la Carte because of their expertise in executing extraordinary events.
“As soon as I met with Jessica I knew she would be perfect, because she had experience, and I could tell she could handle an extravagant wedding,” the bride explained.
No detail was left undone. St. Pete Beach wedding planner Parties a la Carte ensured there was ambiance during the ceremony with a harpist entertaining the guests upon arrival, to the whimsical floating garland arbor with gold flecked mirrors strategically placed throughout the room. The glamorous detail in the gold-rimmed china and hand-painted cake were customized to the bride and groom’s exact wishes for this celebration to remember.
To find a seat during the reception, guests were welcomed by an ivy wall with custom gold foiled seat cards outside the Don CeSar’s lavish ballroom. Once inside, guests found a corresponding gold foiled menu card. Art deco inspired table numbers atop mirrored charger plates and satin linens created just the right backdrop for a perfectly planned luxurious affair.
If Gatsby himself ordered the wedding cake, it would be the hand painted five-tiered gold cake accompanied by the absinthe bar. Eveyone partied and celebrated the couple until the last drop was finished.
What did you look for in a wedding planner?
Someone with experience and someone who understood my vision. Parties a la Carte was referred to me by a family friend, as soon as I met with Jessica I knew she would be perfect because she had experience and I could tell she could handle an extravagant wedding.
How would you describe your theme?
Art Deco/Gatsby Glam, we chose it because we wanted a black-tie wedding that was both glamorous and fun.
What were your colors?
Blush, mint, and gold. Gold and mint are my favorite colors, and the blush complemented them without looking too feminine.
