Kimberly and Ryan were engaged on vacation in Amsterdam, but married at home in St Petersburg, FL, where the bride and groom both grew up.
“It’s such a beautiful and up-and-coming city that I can’t imagine getting married anywhere else,” the bride gushed.
Kimberly had an idea of what she wanted her wedding to be like, but says she didn’t know how to describe it perfectly, luckily she hired downtown St. Pete wedding planner Parties A La Carte.
“[I looked for a wedding planner who] could get to know me, figure out what I like and help me make decisions since this is an area that was foreign to me. This is where Parties A La Carte came in and saved me! I found pictures of what I wanted, and my wedding planner made my dream come true,” Kimberly explained. “When I set up my first meeting with Jessica and the Parties A La Carte team, I immediately knew this was going to work. They were so down to earth and realistic about throwing a beautiful wedding and staying on a budget.”
The bride and groom’s classic and romantic wedding at downtown St. Pete wedding venue The Mahaffey Theater was just that.
“I wanted people to be blown away when they stepped into the reception venue. I wanted that awe factor, and I definitely got it!” Kimberly beamed. “From the beautiful flower arrangements, to the modern gold touches, to the satin blush table cloths, everything little thing just came together so fluidly and made the room elegant and whimsical.”
The couple chose a navy, blush, champagne, and gold color palette for their romantic wedding.
“My husband had only one request and that was for the men to be in navy suits. I then decided that I liked blush bridesmaids dresses next to the navy suits, and then everything fell into place.”
The couple gravitated towards “more of a gentle tone” which matched their relaxed personalities.
“We wanted something beautiful, but not stuffy. Our most important goal was to make sure all our guests had a good time.”
The enjoyment of all was surely put over the top when, after hours of dancing, 100 cheeseburgers from one of the couple’s favorite restaurants arrived after midnight! Just another of those special touches tying everything together into one unforgettable evening.
