Becca and Rob’s destination St. Pete wedding was an enchanting spring wedding in the Vinoy’s historic Grand Ballroom. The elegance of their venue perfectly matched the classic airiness of their day, which featured pops of color that complemented the natural flora of the Sunshine State.

“Our theme was light and airy. The flowers were the most important thing to me, and we wanted lots of color, not just white. It was elegant, but not too formal and classy,” the bride explained. “Our main theme color was light blue, which was the tablecloth color, and I had ten girlfriends wear blue dresses. The other colors were pink, and orange of all shades and lots of greenery and white flowers too.”

Since they planned their wedding from across the country, The Denver, Colorado couple turned to St Petersburg wedding planner Parties A La Carte for a hands-on planning experience.

“We wanted a wedding planner who was organized, detail-oriented, and who could direct to help me make decisions. We met with Jessica Ralph, the owner of Parties A La Carte, one time, and I knew she was the one for us! I loved the initial meeting and what she was willing to do for me so I could focus on work and my life back in Colorado,” Becca beamed. “Jessica is fabulous! The team was simply amazing! I felt taken care of at all times leading up to the wedding, and the day would not have happened without them!”

The bride wore a strapless, sweetheart-cut gown with intricate beading and a classic veil while soft curls framed her face. The groom looked dapper in his blue and black tuxedo and pastel boutonniere to match his bride’s blooming bouquet of peonies. The couple exchanged vows in front of a floral arch adorned with blooming pink, blush, orange, and white flowers among lush greenery, after heading to the iconic Tea Garden for sunset portraits and Esplanade for cocktail hour.

When the couple’s 120 guests entered the elegant ballroom reception, they were greeted by a scene of timeless beauty, with a custom circular bar adorned in the event’s signature blue color. The vast all-white dance floor took center stage and featured the newlywed’s monogram, while classic round tables dressed in light blue linens provided an ethereal touch. Gold Louis chairs added opulence to the room as it basked in soft light from the candles and gorgeous chandeliers. 

Tall, colorful centerpieces sat gracefully on each table, allowing guests to engage in conversation without obstruction and to foster an atmosphere of connection. As the evening transitioned from dinner to dancing, the reception turned into a lively celebration featuring dueling pianos players.

Becca and Rob shared that they couldn’t have envisioned a better day; the entire wedding was a lifetime highlight.

“The most memorable part of the wedding was getting ready with my girls, seeing the flowers and the reception area for the first time, all of our friends and family being there that traveled from around the country to be there, the vision just all coming together, being with my mom and dad just the three of us behind the curtain before the ceremony, hearing the music start to play, my Dad taking my arm and when I walked in the room, it was like the world stopped for a moment, the flowers, the people and then seeing Rob waiting for me was a total dream come true,” Becca reminisced.

In fact, the couple enjoyed their St. Pete experience so much that they decided to purchase property in the Sunshine State!

“My husband has family in the area, and we had spent time together there early on in our relationship, so it also had a special place in our hearts. We have since purchased a condo in the area since we love it so much!” the bride revealed.
